Zone 4 Architects restored a historic mining cottage, previously obscured by multiple additions, to its original form and placed it on a new basement to form a cozy carriage house at the base of Smuggler Mountain. A new mountain modern home was constructed on the remaining lot, with roof lines and fenestration to match the historic Victorian cottage. Large windows and a second floor balcony provide great views of Aspen Mountain.
